Since that time, the University has continued to receive gifts from the Caldwells, forming an impressive collection that now features more than 360 original pieces of art and 65 artifacts spanning centuries, genres and media. We've lined up acts from all over the region & country to thrill your senses. From fire-eaters to magicians, human statues, one-man bands and everything in between, there won't be a corner of the Main Street that will disappoint. The festival is FREE! Enjoy a weekend in our beautiful town, voted by USA Today as one of the Top 10 Towns in the South. There is something for all ages! Butch Heath and Blake Collins will greet our visitors with their musical talents on the guitar and mandolin. Long time picker friends, Butch and Blake love bluegrass and the musical arrangements that are compiled to create the ever growing broadness of the sound of the genre. This is a free concert, but in keeping with the Busker Fest theme, monetary tips would be welcome.
Every week folks gather from near and far in the back room of Capo's Music Store to jam. Our all acosutic jam is held every Saturday evening starting at 6:00 PM. We are an official affiliate member of The Crooked Road, Virginia's Heritage Music Trail. It is an ld style circle jam where people join us and share songs. The jam is free and open to everyone with a mix of listeners and players. All acoustic styles and skill levels are welcome. Visitor's are always welcome.
